Chouteau County Fair Pig Wrestling – Team Entry Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By checking the “I agree” box and clicking Submit & Pay, the individual completing the online form (the “Team Captain”) certifies that they are at least 18 years old and have full authority to bind every member of the team (collectively, “Participants”) to these Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”). Submission of the form and payment of the Entry Fee constitute acceptance of this Agreement by all Participants.

2. Eligibility

  • Teams consist of four (4) persons.

  • All Participants must be 4  years of age or older on the date of the event. Participants under 18 must provide a signed parental/guardian consent at event check‑in.

  • The Fair Board reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any Participant or team for safety or rule violations.

3. Registration & Payment

  1. Entry Fee. The non‑refundable Entry Fee displayed on the registration page is payable in full at the time of online submission.

  2. Payment Processing. Card transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc. on behalf of Chouteau County Fairgrounds (“CCF”). By providing card details, you authorize Stripe to charge the total amount, including any applicable taxes and processing fees.

  3. Billing Information. You warrant that all billing information is true, complete, and belongs to an authorized cardholder.

  4. Refunds. Entry Fees are non‑refundable, except where the event is canceled in its entirety by CCF (see § 11).

4. Event Rules & Conduct

  • Participants must attend the mandatory safety briefing before competing.

  • Appropriate footwear (closed‑toe) and attire are required; no clothing with sharp objects, metal studs, or anything that could harm animals or other Participants.

  • No intoxication, abusive language, or unsportsmanlike conduct.

  • All decisions by event officials are final.

5. Assumption of Risk

Participants acknowledge that pig wrestling involves physical exertion, slick and uneven surfaces, contact with animals, and other inherent risks that may result in injury, illness, or property damage. By entering, Participants voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown.

6. Release & Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Participants release, waive, and discharge Chouteau County, Chouteau County Fair Board, Chouteau County Fairgrounds, their elected officials, employees, volunteers, contractors, sponsors, and affiliates (“Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liability arising out of or related to participation in the event, including negligence of any Released Party.

7. Indemnification

Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claims or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from (a) Participant’s actions or omissions; (b) breach of this Agreement; or (c) injury to any person or damage to any property caused by Participant.

8. Animal Welfare

CCF is committed to humane treatment of livestock. Any Participant who, in the sole judgment of officials, mistreats or attempts to injure an animal will be disqualified and removed without refund.

9. Media Release

Participants grant CCF the irrevocable right to photograph, film, livestream, or otherwise record the event and to use Participants’ names, likenesses, voices, and biographical information in any medium, worldwide, for promotional or commercial purposes without compensation.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data collected through the form is used solely for event administration, safety, and transactional purposes, in accordance with the CCF Privacy Policy. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe; CCF does not store full card numbers.

11. Event Changes & Cancellation

CCF may postpone, modify, or cancel the event due to weather, safety, public health directives, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. If the event is canceled in its entirety, CCF will issue a full refund of the Entry Fee to the original payment method; processing fees are non‑refundable unless required by law.

12. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by acts of God, war, terrorism, government regulation, strike, pandemic, or any event beyond reasonable control.

13. Governing Law & Venue

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Montana. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state courts of Chouteau County, Montana.

14. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties regarding the subject matter and supersedes all prior oral or written agreements.
